Another sponge?

I just love finding small tiny critters in my tank and then coming here to determine whether they are good or bad...

So i found this small, almost circle like red thing. It has been getting bigger so it is alive...

It looks like some type of red macro algae IMO, but it might be a sponge. How does it feel to the touch?

I dont think its algae. It took abiut 2.5 months to reach a size for me to be able to ake a pic. Im pretty sure algae doesnt grow so slow?
