Anthias Experts - Sailfin Anthias Male (Rabaulichthys cf suzuki)

IMO any anthias is fine with carberri because they're peaceful. I have a mix of 5 different species of anthias and they all get along fine. Chasing/flashing once a week or so but no biting or killing. Only problem is with Bartlett's, they're always the first to start the fight in my tank. They bully my 3rd one into a cave so he only gets to come out when there is food. Regret getting 3, they're best kept alone. :uzi:

i have 3 of them.

they've recently gotten really common all of a sudden and it's something i've not seen for many years and it's the first time this year.

they're very easy and very peaceful. they eat very well too and have no trouble feeding.

i don't think they'll be a problem with any other anthias. i'm keeping mine with a pair of pseudanthias cf marcia.

i did notice however, that they stopped flaring their large dorsal fins at each other after awhile. all of my specimens are males and so far, none of them have reverted back into females and have kept that large dorsal fin since day 1 till now, many months later.

females are avaialble readily here too but they're dull and have small uncolored fins. and since my males are not fighting amongst each other and have not changed back into females, i don't see the need for me to get any. but maybe if i did get them, it could stimulate more fin flaring again.

anyway, be sure to treat them for internal parasites because they do often come with it.

I have mine with a sunburst anthia and there has been no aggression at all. In fact, they have not been aggresive towards any of the other fish I have in my tank. They are really nice, if you are getting them from the LFS find out what they are feeding it and what they are having success with.
