Hey guys, I recently purchased 2 lyretail anthias (1 male 1 female) and put them in my quarantine tank which has been up for a year (use it for holding frags as well.) I put them both in 2 weeks ago and the male never came out but the female did after 4 hours.
The female ate regularly with whatever I put in but the male only took peeks and never did come out. I found the male dead 3 days later under a rock sand noticeably thick around his gills. 3 days ago I purchased another male in the hopes of getting a proper pair but I had similar issues with him yet again.
I don't know if its because of an issue on my end or if its just due to them being poor shippers, either way I just want to get some extra opinions and maybe some advice. I've only lost 2 fish with the exception of the anthias so its a bit frustrating to watch my anthias having such problems with no real cause that I know of.
