I added 6 of these about 2 weeks ago. All eating... all happy... but even the LFS didn't know the exact name. I like them, they were peaceful in the display and are peacefull in my tank as well. I'd just like to know what they are.

Thanks for looking.

I'm not help but they are pretty. I'm considering a small school of Anthias for my new tank as well.

If you look at the Scott Michael s Anthias book they are an undescribed species! I had several of them for a while but they didn't live longer then 2 years sadly. Mine came from Sri Lanka. They were great for me and ate anything I put in the tank!! Beautiful fish! keep us posted on them

Yeah, some undescribed P. marcia-esque anthias is what the other threads on these have said.

Very interesting.... Does that make them rare?

Not that I care specifically... I choose them b/c they looked very nice and were not aggressive...

Thanks

Thanks Kinlayan!

It seems that if nothing else they are hearty, healthy and non-aggressive which is great.

As a side bonus, they are nit "run of the mill" fish... Not that we care about these things... :)

I do wonder how a cites permit is obtained for a undescribed and undocumented species?!?
