This was sold as a Dispar. The red dots on the tail are what is throwing me off though.

Very much so, just get a whole lot "beefier" than dispars, if that's an issue for you.

No issue there. Sounds like they can get quite large. Maybe I'll consider mixing some squareback or lyetail with them.

IME the lyretails and squarebacks typically exceed the size of the stockys, but not by a whole lot

three each. I started with 4/5 of each all females a couple years back and now I have a male and two females of each. I want to add more

Looks just like a Pseudanthias truncatus that I had for about 8 years. The fish stayed a basic pink with just some color on the tail.
