Few more....

Few more....

Also need confirmation that these are Bimacs;

And is this a Resplendant?

Anthias5.jpg

Yes, female and male bimacs. The last ones look like princess anthias, Pseudanthias smithvanizi.

IMO smithvansi and parvirostris would make a beautiful combo in a tank. They both stay small, have mild personalities, and have gorgeous colors.

Outstanding, thanks. Princess Anthias...not heard much about them. Are they hardy and relatively easy to keep?

Princess anthias can be quite challenging initially. but if you acquire healthy ones, they will begin feeding soon on cyclopeeze and maybe mysis.

but it may take awhile. also they are rather shy.

Thanks for the infor, they are quite striking. Think I might get a mixture of Bimacs and Princess (3 of each) to go with my Lyretail pair.

Aw, you're killing me. :hammer:

Okay, how about Purple Queens? Remember looking for an Anthias that is hardy and sociable. The female Bimacs were sold so maybe Purple Queen, Lyretail and the Princess?

Also this one just popped up:

Anthias7.jpg

Any idea what that is?

Tuka are too difficult to keep. Pass. The resplendents in the last pic are a good choice.

Shame, so pretty. So you think a few Princesses would mingle with Resplendents and a couple of Lyretails?

Thanks for all the advice. :)

First one looks like sunset.
Second one looks liek bimac
Third one looks like smithy
Fourth one is juv purple queen.
Fifth one is definitely Randall's Anthias.

yes in order of pictures.

P. parvirostris
P. bimaculatus
P. smithvansi
P. tuka (females/juv)
either P. randalli or P. pulcherrimus. i don't know how to differentiate them but they can be differentiated based on location.

I have no idea how you guys can distinguish between some of these fish. That last one looked like a Resplendent when I check it at LiveAquaria. Looks like a Randalls too. :D

So then, out of all of these which two would mix best with each other and a pair of Lyretails (with a dominant male). My preference being the Princess and the Randalls.
