Are you doing auto focus or manual? I found that using manual made it easier to get their eyes in focus since fish move so quickly and the auto just cant compensate for you moving the camera to follow.
AF I just can't seems to get MF to turn out in focus for the fish. I use MF for my macros with good results, but can't seem to get the hang of it at the speed I need for fish. Do most people pan?
