Anthias school help.

I'm looking to start a school/group in my 180. The species I like are sunsets, bartletts, sunburst and lyretails. Could someone please advise me on
1)whether these species can be mixed due to aggression
2) stocking levels (male:female) to house them
3) the order with which they should be introduced

as these seem to be the things that are consistantly mentioned in my research. What I would like would be
1 sunburst (male)
1 lyretail (male)
3 sunsets (1M2F)
6 bartletts (1M5F)

Lyretail will probably be the king.. They are known to be aggressive against other species if the resemble eachother. I had mine dive bombing on my chromis..

Bartletts will kill the weakest link in their group. You should definitely QT all Anthias and get them fat before you put them in DT. I had 5 Bartlett and 1 became injured, got kamikaze by another Bartlett. Have 2 male and 1 female Bartlett left now and a Lyretail right now. I'd get all female Bartletts if I were you, it's easier for them to establish their hierarchy that way. I'm also trying to mix multiple species of Anthias too. My order would be Sunburst, Sunsets, Lyretail, Bartlett. Bartletts tend to turn all male over time ime.

Good luck getting Barletts over here, mate. I tried every contact I've got... and turned up not a thing.

Over the years, bartletts have definitely been the worst IMO/E. From the whole "all turning male" issue, to their aggressiveness, to their complete lack of grouping in the tank, to their extreme gluttonous nature, resulting in overeating. I'll never buy them again.

so should I go with dispars instead of bartletts but only get 5 (1M4F) as the basis and that will allow for more of another type? probably drop the lyretail too, so end up with
5 dispars (1M4F)
3 sunsets (1M2F)
3 sunbursts (1M2F)

I'm really just after an attractive basis for the sunburst/sunset anthias.
