I have(had) 4 dispar anthias. Last night one started laying down in the sand, not on his side, but like a hawkfish, and I could notice small sores on his side, like someone had been pecking at him. Come this morning and he had expired. All day the other 3 had been bombarding the cleaner gobies, practically laying on top of them trying to get cleaned. I get home and i notice one is swimming around with is mouth open, almost chasing the clown fish. I noticed they all are looking oddly skinny, like normal size head and then very thin bodies after the jaw. I fed them some brine shrimp tonight, nothing. they would swim up to it and then pay it no attention, just swim on by to the next piece, then to the next, so on and so on. I think maybe they are tired of this, I tried 2 different pellets, then some flakes, then misys. Finally I soaked some brine in garlic for a while and put it in for them. This time they actually showed interest in it, one of them was gobbling it down like it was going out of style, the other two were frantically gulping it up, then spitting it back out and then moving on to the next one to continue their intake and expulsion of the food. Are my anthias just trying to give me a heart attack or is there something wrong I need to try and take care of?
All the other fish in the tank appear to be healthy and doing great and eating like fat little piggies.
