Anthias Spot on Side

I'm trying to figure out what this is. It showed up about 3 weeks into quarantine. The spot is brown and on the back side of the fish-it is slightly off the body of the fish. She still seems active and is eating. I just got done with a treatment of API general cure. It didn't seem to have much of an effect on the spot. Any help is appreciated.

API general cure didn't do anything for the fish. Just started with erythromycin-I'll update after the treatment course.

General cure usually is used to treat for flukes and some internal parasites and 2 treatments 7 days apart is necessary for it to work for that. You might be dealing with some sort of an infection but it's hard to tell from the pic.
Best treatment if it is bacterial would be a trifecta of furan2, metroplex and kanaplex for 10 days. This will treat most type of infections. The metroplex will also help with prevention/treatment of uronema which is popular with anthias fish now a days. Make sure to increase water aeration or circulation to counter any oxygen depletion.

Thanks for the help. It definitely looked like an infection. Unfortunately the gal didn't make it-but I have metro in the toolkit now.

Looks like some kind of hematoma or body ulceration. Quite common in new anthias and almost always fatal.
