i remember reading that more than 1 in a 125 gallon tank will kill each other? is this ttrue? if i get a male and the rest females will that be ok? thanks.

Not true in my experience. I had 6 in my old 125.

This is false, I have 3 in my 75, bought all as females and one changed into the male and occasionally chases the females, not brutally or persistently though.

Big thing about anthias is feeding requirements and having proper nutirient export/ a big enough tank to keep levels in check.

You are fine. There is always inter species aggression maintaining the hierarchy but in the end it should work out great.
