Any 6301 shrouds around?

I have 2 6201's and would like to diffuse the flow a little bit. Will the 6301's do this?

No, the output diameter is the same, the 6300.130 housing only allows more intake. Cutting off the front snout or shortening it will result in a broader more turbulent flow, but at a substantial cost to the reach of the flow and in general I wouldn't see this as a benefit unless this was a tank shorter than about 4ft long.

Thanks, I feared this. Just hae to find a better solution to sand blowing around.
Its just too much or not enough. Maybe a couple smaller tunze's mounted on the back pane to help get flow on the the corals without blowing a sandstorm.

Sawing the snout off the output will widen the flow but you will lose a lot of the reach.
