hi all was wondering if there were any clubs or frag swaps in md area.. i cant find any clubs or anything out here
any clubs in MD? or surrounding area?

im not a member of any of them, because im probably going to move in a year, but if i was going to stick around im sure i would join one.

So it seems we have a couple sites available? We should combine them all to an exclusive md only club and they would become much more active?
I personally live just east of the annapolis area and there is nothing really over here.....and man would it be nice to get a group of guys and gals together who could concentrate on one site instead of various sites as i think this may be our problem.
As stated before pm me a friend request to start something or work on something already in place.There are so many advantages to having a local community of people to learn from and group buy and frag swap.......

The founding members of SMMAS were members of CMAS (I believe some may still be) but did not like the long drive for meetings so they started a more local club for St. Marys, Charles and Calvert counties. In the past SMMAS and CMAS had joint functions and supported each others activities. Not so much lately, not sure why.
I agree it would be nice to have a big club with lots of people but I don't think most people want a long drive for meetings. I know I'm willing to drive further for the larger events and swaps, but I would skip regular meetings if it was a long drive.

NCPARS up in PA is worth looking at.
We host swaps at That Fish Place in Lancaster, PA with good vendors and a few hundred as far as attendance.

OK... I joined www.smmas.org.
They are having a frag fest coming up at the end of this month, for members.
It is relatively easy to sign up and pay your yearly dues... Yeah yeah... but it is only $20.
Seems like a good bunch of people that have field trips and meetings and even some frag fests.
If anything go take a look.
