Any CO stores carrying D-D salt?

Reef Crystals have pretty decent mag levels. Most places carry Reef Crystals. Just a thought.

D&D will be tough to find. Last time I saw a bucket was MACNA XX in Atl. I have not had mag issues using Reef Crystals. Last I tested my DT was 1500 without dosing. 10% H2O change every other week to monthly.

I picked up some reef crystals for $45 at exotic aquatics in Boulder. Horrible fish store, but amazingly their dry goods are pretty cheap.

I'll mix up some tonight and test what the mag comes out to tomorrow.

I would like to find some d-d for the bucket after this, my salt lasts me pretty long so it isn't too bad pricewise for me.

This was $45 for a large bucket. $100 a bucket???? Is anybody dumb enough to pay that?

I tested the magnesium, it came out to 1260 @ 1.025 sG. I guess I can raise my sG up to 1.026 to get the mag up some more.

i know that nobody likes coral life i dont know why ...i assume because it doesn't cost enough ($40) but ill throw it out there again ...heres my results 24 hours after mixing using coral life and it didn't take as much salt to get to 1.026 as reef crystals
cal = 560
mag = 1490
alk = 14
sg = 1.0266

Reef Crystals. Salts are going to fluctuate from batch to batch, period! I toss in a few tablespoons of SeaChem Mag (I always buy the largest amount, it comes in a small bucket) in with my water change. I guess I don't test much anymore, just keep my eye on the animals. I do make it a point to do a 35g water change every week though and my water volume is somewhere around 500g, so if your smaller throw in a couple of teaspoons of mag with any salt if your having a problem. Getting Mag to increase is tough, it takes a ton to get it up to 1350 plus. I was way low and it took weeks of dosing to get it back up. Go slow, it's not a race.
