not at all, it is actually a plus, it will feed the coral adn fish in the tank, you should've cultivated pods in your tank before getting a madarin as they really need alot of pods to feed on.
Not to hyjack the thread but any ideas how much cyclopese and how often, to feed a 75G tank w/100 lbs lr, 1 fish and 25 snails to encourage pod growth?
I had no problems adding pods to my tank. I added 2 bottles. Just dumped them in about 4 mos ago water and all. I'm prepping for a future mandarin
I also feed cyclopeeze every other day but not a lot. If I were to guess it would probably be about 1/16th teaspoon-frozen bar. My corals go bananas when I add it. Not sure about the pods, but they probably like it too. I leave the pumps/skimmer on. I know I waste some that way but I'm really not concerned about it. This is what my sun coral looks like when I add it. Tank seems happy too.
