Any fish recommendations?

Hey all,

the specs of my tank (35 gallons) should be displayed at the bottom of this post. I was wondering if anyone had any recommendations as to other inhabitants I could add. I plan on getting a Royal Gramma next week.

cheers,
RF

I actually think grammas can be a little too territorial and nippy to keep w/ firefish in that size tank. In any case, try and get the smallest gramma you can. I've always liked gobies and I might consider a yasha/shrimp combo if you have a sandbed or put a box with sand in the tank.

In most marine communities, yes.
However the firefish tend to be shy and easily bullied.
In fact I would go so far as to say that firefish are not good candidates for most mixed fish community tanks.

Ditto what Jim said. Firefish are shy and will hide and refuse to feed if bullied.

2 or 3 zebra darfish (Ptereleotris zebra) would be a cool addition. The shrimp/goby combo is a great idea, and firefish will sometimes opportunistically share the burrow with the goby (very cool to see)... :) Likewise, 2 or 3 chalk bass (Serranus tortugarum) would be a peaceful addition.

You can see a lot more fish for smaller tanks http://reefs.org/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=44760]here[/url].
