Any foreseeable problems with this product?

I want to prime the inside of the stand, (sump area), with this product and am wondering if this would be ok and if not, what suggestions you have. TIA!!!

I like Helmsman Urethane better as it gets into the wood rather than just coating it.

Thx a ton Walt!!! Now I want to caulk all the joints in the inside of the stand...I would like the finish on the inside to be white. Where would the product you suggested come in to play with my intended plan?

I used the Kilz as primer, with no issue so far. Areas of my stands that get wet have linoleum tiles on them that are caulked at the seams, so I don't get much water on the actual painted surfaces.

I've used the oil based helmsman over oil based white paint in my prop tank hood and disn't have any issues. I think I actually used rustoleum spray and topped it with the helmsman.

Another option for white is the water based whte wash pickling stain that will give it a white tint
