Any idea what's going on?

This was doing really well and was considering mounting it on that piece of rock. But just noticed it looking like this. Just did a 30% water change yesterday and all parameters are consistent

I'm assuming that's a leather? It doesn't look too bad to me, the polyps are still out... well, many of them anyway. Don't get discouraged, leathers can be fussy and do strange things for days. But they are hearty and almost always come back. I've fragged one down to just a bare trunk with no polyps left. A couple of weeks later it started putting out new polyps that grew into new branches. Just give it time.

Thank you! I am a newbie I know it cauliflower Colt coral. That's all I know

Yep, that is a type of leather. They don't need lots of light but can tolerate it well. They seem to be quite tolerant of a wide variety of conditions.

And like I said, I've had leathers get upset about something and not put out polyps for 3 to 5 days! You've picked a good starter coral. Enjoy it.
