I touched it w/ some grabbers and it did not seem to retract but I am thinking it is a coral because the foxface nor the 7 tangs have tried to pic at it (macro would be gone by now).

Yeah I'm leaning toward a soft coral of some kind.
Does it have individual polpys or do they share a common "wall"?
