CNC as in machining? I wish!!! I've been wanting to build a cnc mill for a long time. I operated cnc lathes for a commercial machine shop for two summers. They're awesome.
I was actually considering building/buying one myself, for multiple DIY projects, but wanted to see how common they were in our area first. No reason to spend the time and money if I can find another reef club member that already has a set up
I am giving serious consideration to buying one for my DIY projects. The added benefit would be CNC access for our club members, but I didn't want to spend that money if there were alot in the East Bay that already had one. Even so, it will most likely be a while before I have an operational CNC, if I decide to move ahead with getting one.
