I'm looking for some quotes on a small but custom tank. Any suggestions would be welcome.

Thanks!

WOW, long time no see.
I hope all is good for you now.

Hey! Great to see you too.

Yes, an update for the board. Just in case you guys wanted to know my personal life ;).

Rewind
About 10 days before christmas my then wife came out of the clear blue sky and asked for a divorce, no issues no problems.

A few days later I find out she had been having an affair and from that point on I just wanted to get it done ASAP. She moved out Christmas day and our divorce was finalized about a month ago. I did luck out, I basically got the house and everything in it (DOH! Should of kept the tank). We alternate weeks with my son so I have 50% custody of him.

And now I'm thinking about planning a return to reefing!!!! (But the numbers will have to jive before I can do anything). I'm on a budget here and if I do go through with this I will do a build thread.

Thanks a ton to all the supporters and friends that sent me helpful and supportive emails as I went through my difficult time.

Hope to see you all again soon on the boards.

good to see your back! glad all is going well!

Thanks!

My budget for this new tank is very small. Problem is I have something very specific that I want and Glass Cages can do it for me easily inside my budget but I've heard big issues with those guys so now I'm on the fence.

I don't want to have a panel blow out on me, at the same time I'm only going to have aprox 40 gallons (thats a part of their regular product line, not really custom) so its not like I'm building a large tank. But I'm still somewhat afraid of dealing with them.

Hey Cham glad to hear things are at least, in a way, working out in your favor. If you're worried about GC, have you checked out the Red Sea Max? they have a 34g all in one that is affordable when you consider it comes with skimmer, heater, lights, 2 pumps etc and just has 1 plug to go into the wall. I'm loving mine and always try to let people know about it considering tanks in this size.

Best of luck in whatever you decide!

Cham, I sent you an email yesterday, let me know if you got it or not.

Thanks,
Chris

Yeah, I repsonded a few minutes ago :)

Hey Cham,

Liam here, and just wanted to say that im glad things are getting better for you...... I have a Glass Cages as well as my friend Casey. Both of us are really happy with the tank. If you know exactly what you want the people at Glass cages are great, its when you try to change things on them or your not sure exactly how you want it that you start running in to problems with them. Hope it helps.

Cham,

for what its worth, a few of my local friends have large GC tanks (2xx & 3xx gal) & i just picked up 2 x 6ft tanks from them. tanks look great - they did a good job. As far as I can tell, they have upped their quality a bit.
