I am probably going to get a Midas but would prefer the nice yellow ones.
I understand some change colors but also seems there's the peach type that never really turn full yellow.
LA has so many .. Fiji, maldives , indo , African ect.. can't find any info on which is which.

I have an african midas blenny. It seems like the african variant tend to be a deeper more golden color. I think thats also why they tend to be more $$$. Below is a picture of mine. :disclaimer: I'm not a photographer and my subject would not sit still.

Get an African one. Nice gold/yellow color. I've owned two in the past, and now a third... never had any color shift.

He seems to be the most popular with people who look at my tank. Great personality. He likes to perch on a specific rock and comes out to swim when he thinks I am going to feed him. Mine loves flakes and pellets NLS Thera-A.

Peaceful fish at least with my current stock.

I have one in QT and I have to put food in and run out of the room cause he's such a chicken.

+1 I have an African and its always its nice golden color when out in the water column. One of my favorite fish!

This should change. Mine was the same alone in QT. Shortly after being in the DT it is out in the water column 75% of the time. No issues with feeding it either.
