Since no one nominated anyone for the tresury position and there were requests that it would be easier on whomever became secretary. So I combined them, if we can get someone who seriously wants to be the tresurer we can surely split them back up.

They are appointed by the president per the by-laws.

You might consider splitting them, it looks like we have several nominations for that position of secretary/treasurer.

I really do not think 3 hrs is long enough. A few days would be good I think.

I know it has been brought up in the past, and would require some work by the BOD to add to the by-laws, but could we add the position of recruitment officer as an official position? Or does everyone feel it would better be set up as a commitee?

I think we could spend a few minutes at the frag swap and talk it over and see what everone thinks.

For the sake of efficiency, could we nominate and vote on it now. If it is decided to be better as a commitee, the person selected could chair that commitee.

We can't ammend any by laws without having all of this:

Section 1 All proposed amendments to the By-laws must be in writing and must list the Article and Section that is to be amended. All proposed amendments must be signed by three (3) active members and presented to the Board of Directors for consideration. If approved by the Board of Directors, the proposed amendment shall be submitted for a general vote.

Section 2 A two-thirds (2/3) majority of voting members present shall be required to pass these changes at a General Meeting.

Section 3 All proposed changes will be published in the legal paper of the Club previous to the meeting at which action is to be taken.

When is our next stated meeting? I want to make sure to have this done by then.
