Any must visit LFS while in Miami/Key Largo 5/14-20???

Hello South Florida Reefers!

I will be in the Ft. Lauderdale / Miami area in a week and I figure I better hit up a shop or two! Any suggestions? I am on the lookout for a nice mag or gig if anyone has a spot that tends to have nice carpets. Any LFS with nice eye candy in general is great too!

Not necessarily in the market for anything specific. Love seeing the unique pieces, but down for anything. If I were looking for anything in particular it might be a magnifica/retteri or gigantea anemone. Any shops known to have carpet anemones?

I may reach out to those shops and ask ahead of time.

lol, man you asking the right person, I go to all these stores at least three times a week. Yes I know a freakin sicko!

Ocean Views has some nice nems and I was by Exotic Aquariums today and saw a retteri that looked nice. I am pretty sure Strictly Fish has some nice carpet nems to choose from and they also just constructed a small farming facility with lots of sweet sps/lps

Bird rd is definitely the place you wanna go. All 4 of the stores named above are less than a mile from the highway (826) 2 east and 2 west. Strictly fish is my favorite they always have a ton of frags named and common and then another 4 or 5 tanks of colonies.

There is one pet/fish store in key largo called keys critters, I drive by it about 40 times a year and half only stopped in once. Didn't seem to have much more than you could find at petco. That may have changed but I don't know.

Hey Orly!

I travel to Miami this coming Sunday and will be hoping to hit these shops up on Monday (if they are open) and then again on Saturday 5/20 before I head back to Phoenix.

I plan to email/message the 4 shops on bird rd to see if they have any carpet nems.

I am psyched to see other stores, always fun to get out and see whats hot in other areas.

In the fort Lauderdale area you have two good stores, Hydra aquatics and Elite marine life, both are owner operated and always have a great stock.
