I'm looking for anybody local that has experience with a bio pellet reactor. Was it a good experience would you run it again do you currently run one?

I also believe I'm in the market for one I'm around 300 total gallons of water. Please let me know a price and what you have for sale.

If you have high nitrate and can't get it under control, they work great. I'd look at recirculating models where you can control the flow rate through them. Once they start working they can strip the water completely and cause issues if you can't control the flow. Keep an eye on phosphate as your nitrates go down.

I agree with smoothdog. I ran one on my system when I had high nitrates that I could not reduce. I ran about a cup of biopellets and it stripped my 120 of any nutrients in about 2 weeks. To the point that any softies in the tank were very noticeably unhappy. I had to remove the reactor and shade tree mechanic a recirculating system. I had to run the system on a very slow stream to maintain happy softies. I since removed the system as it just worked to well for me. It did bring my system in line and allow me to manage it from there on out without the reactor.
