any opinions on Pan World pumps?

I have two of them. I think they also go by name of Blue line. For medium water movement I would recomend them.

NOISY
Just bought one from Premium Aquatics - 1800GPH pump.

VERY NOISY.

Spoke to Premium, described and gave detail...

Was moved to a much quieter pump, but with less flow (a Velocity T-4)

Hmmm....might depend on which model.

I've had an Iwaki 70 running an old skimmer.
I now have a PanWorld 250 (which is equivalent to an Iwaki 100) and this bigger panworld is quieter than the smaller Iwaki was. Much quieter....

I love this pump and would recommend it to anyone.

I tested Panworld against Seequence Reeflo and for noise, no comparison. The Reeflo are MUCH quieter.

panworld is a pressure rated pump - reeflo is not. Panworld pumps are not silent but they push a lot of water agianst a lot of head with minimal heat exchange. Reeflo will push more water with less noise but not against head pressure.

i used to have 2 pan worlds before i got my Red Dragon... goods pumps, there is a whine to them but i never had a problem with them...

I have the 100PX and the 100PX-X on different setups and they are pretty silent to me. I think my icecap fans are louder in my canopy.

Yep...I'm using mine to drive a dual Beckett skimmer...so gotta be pressure rated.
