We have a 6300 coming out in roughly 2 months. It does 8000 gph. It was mainly designed for zoos and it is not meant for use with small fishes. Remember the Bass o matic on SNL? That is essentially what it will do, fish puree. It was intended for large zoo and public aquaria exhibits with big fish that cannot get sucked in as it has a much coarser strainer. The mount is different as it is mounted top and bottom to keep it secure. Honestly I think your tank is within the realm of 6200's still. You could buy 2 6100's for the cost of a 6300. It is really a low volume production pump that was not intended for the general public.
