I have had my tank up and running now for three years. When I got the live rock I found two mantis shrimp and caught them both within the first couple of months. I have not seen but have heard signs of there possibly being another since.
Well, today I came home and was watching my 5in conch feed off the live rock. While he was feeding I saw a small pair of what looked like antenna sticking out. Then I saw it. It was so quick that I could not see what it was for sure but I did see the green/bluish color and the snapping noise. I watched this for about 5 minutes as the creature defended its holes everytime the conch mouth came near them.
Other then a mantis shrimp are there any other possibilities of this being something else? If so, what could it be?
