any reef safe eels good for 75g setup?

Snowflake or zebra will do great (snowflake is easier to keep) They generally won't bother moderate sized fish at all, (but the will eat shrimp!) You won't see much of it though except at feeding time.

I have a White ghost eel in my reef and havent had any problems yet. great eel too... loves froozen silversides nad has since day 1...under 2 foot long...doesnt bother any of the fish either!

The golden dwarves are supposed to be excellent, but the last time I looked they were a few hundred dollars. Perhaps not the best for a first eel.

i have a snowflake in my 75 and he had been great. i have a cleaner shrimp, 2 pepper. shrimp, and a coral banded shrimp and he hasn't touch any of them. VERY NICE tankmate. i need him krill by hand and he is a ton of fun to watch!!!!!!!!

i highly recommend him...oh and i got mine free!!

The snowflake is probably going to be the best choice for you.

A zebra moray was mentioned, but this species reaches nearly two metres in length - far too large for a 75G aquarium!

The Red Sea "ghost" moray and Golden Dwarf moray are both excellent choices, however they are not inexpensive and tend to be more cryptic than the snowflake eel.

ah Keefsama, that's great and all, but do you have any leads on a gold dwarf moray for me :hmm1: ?
Jon

i plan on keeping clowns, chromis, a goby and a blenny.
would any of these guys be in danger from the eel?
i definitely want to go with the snowflake if i do get an eel.
thanks all

Mine always has its head visiable, as we speak about 4 inches is sticking out of my rocks...it don't bother any of my shrimp, or smaller fish(cleaner gobys, manderine) I had to special order mine from my LFS...and now he get one about every 2 weeks...I like it b/c it looks like a ribbon eel but loves to eat!! I just didnt want anything that would get too big so this was the best choice...

Can I keep a snowflake in a 82 gallon reef? I won't have any crabs/hermits, only one skunk cleaner shrimp, that's pretty darn big.

My other tankmates will be 2 ocellaris and 1 bellus angel. Will they get eaten?

Keefsama, If you could look into it, that would be great. No time frame really, just looking for a good healthy specimen.
Thnx
Jon
