Any reefers out in Santa Fe?

In a few months, SF will be my new home. I'll surely miss my current locale and all the people I'll be moving away from, but also looking forward to all the new people.

Any reefing people out this way? How active is NMOK?

Hey Gomer-

I will be spending the summer in Santa Fe working at a local resort. Currently Im based out of Las Cruces about 300 miles south of Santa Fe but when you get here if you need some assistance setting up your tanks or whatnot let me know and Id be more than happy to help. What brings you to Santa Fe from California anyway, if you don't mind me asking?

NMOK is pretty much defunct I think?

I'm always ready and willing to host a get together at my shop, or travel to another location for a frag swap and meet up... they don't seem to happen on any regular schedule tho.

I'm in Albuquerque, but with the train going back and forth is pretty easy if you can arrange transportation in town. Otherwise it's a 40 minute or so drive.

Don't know of any LFS's in santa fe, just haven't looked tho. In Albuquerque there's Southwest Reef Co and Clarks (and Fins'n'Critters...sorta).

SWRC is pretty good, but may not compare to what you have access to right now. Rob can and usually will order just about anything you want tho.

Doug, that's unfortunate to hear about the club. Maybe that can be changed in the future. I'll be setup well with coral when I make the move and hope to add some more diversity in what is available in the are ..all captive propped of course :-D

I have a 70 gallon tank here in Santa Fe. I am getting ready to upgrade to a larger tank to keep more sps. I would love to have a group of people in the the area to trade ideas and infromation as well as frags.

Found Petco and Petsmart and they are pretty much the same as every-other one I've been to. Couldn't find Jurassic pets I'll have to hunt a bit more when I am there again.

Sounds like there are a few people in for a frag swap meeting!!! I just got back in town and miss not meeting with other reefers. I would like to get some zoas, snails and crabs. Please send me info if you all get togather.
