Any special needs for Rics?

Thinking about getting some ric's. Do they have any special needs compared to regular mushrooms? Are they harder to keep, harder to frag, etc?

Yumas can be amongst the hardest corals to keep, Hobby or maricultured are pretty easy going though, it's the fancy wild harvested imports that will make you scream. Floridas on the other hand are pretty close to indestructible if you have even moderately decent skills and good aquarium hygine. You can easily keep, frag, feed Floridas and Floridas don't have even ten percent of the sensitivity that Yumas do. Welcome to the addiction.

+1 on that......Welcome make sure your ready for the ricodrea addiction......Once it starts you will not be able to turn back.

I got a sweet new that needs to be posted....

+1,000 on what Tallinu said.

Start out with floridias.... They are a lot easier and cheaper and nice colors too.

Someone needs to start aquaculturing yumas......

Thanks! I have already developed a Zoa addiction. Now moving on to rics.

I think drugs would have been cheaper.

I never had a problem with any ric or yuma I got. Usually start them of low in the tank and they seem to do just fine, I even sometimes spot feed them.
