Any thoughts on the SeaClear acrylic aquariums?

I had one of their (CASCO's) reef-readys for 3 years (04-07).

It takes a bit more care so you don't scratch it, but with a bit of acrylic polish now and than and some microfiber pads you can't imagine how clear it is.

It was well built and never had a problem with it.

My boyfriend has this tank, same size too. We used it for a short time for quarantine. I think it's a nice little tank. Acrylic is not for everyone. You have to baby it while cleaning so it doesn't scratch. One tiny piece of sand or a rock falling can make a bad scratch.

I have a 150 gallon acrylic tank and I love it. I had a 280 a few years ago too. I am super meticulous with my tanks however and I take the time to clean carefully and often so scratching has not been a problem for me.

If I were you I would drill the tank instead of using the overflow. It is so easy to do with acrylic. Check out the DIY forums and I'm sure you will find all the info you need to drill it.
