My 125g 6' mixed reef tank has been running for a while now, and my fish population has just reached their 1 year anniversary. My current fish bioload:
(3) Azure Damselfish (Chrysiptera hemicyanea)
(3) Royal Grammas (Gramma loreto)
(1) Flame Hawkfish (Neocirrhites armatus)
(1) Bicolor Angelfish (Centropyge bicolor)
(1) Kole Tang (Ctenochaetus strigosus)
(1) Golden Midas Blenny (Ecsenius midas)
(1) Valentini Puffer (Canthigaster valentini)
I would really like to add a wrasse for the color and movement, probably like a Solon Fairy Wrasse (Cirrhilabrus solorensis) or similar, but don't want to "œoverdue" the amount of fish or make it look crowded. I *think* I'm OK regarding my bioload as I currently have to dose both PO4 and NO3 to keep some nutrients in the tank and my coral colors up (currently maintain about 0.03ppm and 1.5ppm levels respectively).
I also have a Mantis Shrimp (Neogonodactylus wennerae I think) in the tank who hitchhiked in from my original live rock, and I'm concerned a bit about a wrasse at night as they lie in their bubble nest or bury. I used to target feed the mantis, but he now seems to dine on my cleanup crew which is restocked a few times a year. I've tried but cannot catch him and breaking down the tank is not an option. So far *fingers crossed* I haven't lost any fish to him"¦.
Any thoughts on the wrasse addition?
