put a sea star in the trap. the trap can be an 1 liter wide mouth bottle with holes in it. cut the bottle 3" from the top flip the top inside the bottle and zip tie it so it makes a funnel make sure you put the sea star in before you do this since he might not fit through the opening. submerge the bottle and I bet it will find it's way in. It is important to poke holes in the bottle especially if you leave it over night i lost a couple of peppermint shrimp by not doing that.
Clay, I have a shrimp trap that I made a while back to catch my cleaner shrimps that you can borrow to try catch it. Use some starr fish for bait ... if you need bait starr fishes, I have tons of them
