Any tips on keeping Magicians happy?

I've had two polyps on a plug for about 4 or 5 months now and they just seem to be in limbo. Not growing, but not shrinking. There on a frag rack that I can adjust up or down in the tank, so I've tried everything from high lighting & flow to low lighting & flow with no results. The colors also seem to be a little washed out no matter what I do. All other zoanthids in the tank are doing great. Any tips, pointers, etc? TY.

Other then target feeding some black worms or some pellets to a few LPS corals such as a bubble, lobo, leptastrea, etc, no. Every week when I do a water change though, I do stir up everthing in my sump, and use a powerhead to get all the detritus off the rocks. Not sure if this apply's, but,,,

Would this coral benefit from a feeding? I do have some palythoas in my tank that I don't feed, and there doing great.

My magicians are doing the same. I had one polyp for a few months then I look the other day and there's 3 buds. I guess you could say it's magic ;)

I have had good luck with my magicians. Started with 1 about a year ago and now have about 45 or so after fragging some. I have them in three different tanks in 3 different environments. I would have to say my mother colony is in a 60g cube, one the sand bed with a diy LED setup polyps are about 1/2" in height and about quarter sized polyps, low flow. I have another set that is in a 14g biocube, half way up with lights blasting, DIY rapid led set-up. Polyps are about 1/8"-1/4" in height and M&M sized polyps, high flow. Last setup I have them in personally is another biocube 14g with DYI LED (steve's) Lighting is super low, flow is super high, about 1/4"-3/8" in height and about the size of a peanut butter M&M, to a peanut M&M. A friend has a frag of my Magicians, his are in a 30g breeder tank. Under 36 Cool blue leds and 2-250w Halides (run alternately).I would say his flow is medium to medium-high, his polyps look different in pattern, but are compared to the size of my second biocube listed. I am not sure what would be best as all tanks are different. Now the 60g tank is my dirtier tank, and they seem to grow best in there. Maybe your systems are too clean. Good luck with them
