any VORTECH pump users use this on ACRYLIC tank???

I was wondering if any Vortech pump users use this on their 1/2 inch acrylic and how safe is it using this on an acrylic tank with the pumps heat.?

I wrote EcoTech and asked that question. They replied saying there would be no issue using Vortech pumps with acrylic tanks.

My acrylic tank is 5/16" and I have no issues at all. When set to full throttle it get pretty warm but not to hot to touch. When feeling around the tank around the vortech, I could not feel any heat coming from pump. I think the spacers do a good job.

If the pump does get to hot for some reason. It has a safety shut down feature to cool the pump down and when its cool enough it turns right back on.
