any way to make-

do you know of any good books dealing with biochemistry of fish? I want to understand things like how osmorgulation effects slime coat production, or destruction. Ect.

Thanks anyway on the rocks :) I was thinking about mixing acrylic shavings with sand and then adding a can of acrylic glue to bond the shaving and sand into a rock form! :lol:who knows...

Spotte's book is a good fish book:

"Captive Seawater Fishes"

but a detailed thing like how osmoregulation impacts slime coatings sounds unlikely to be in a textbook. :D

wow, 324 canadian! Must be a good book if it cost so much. :) Thx

Does temperature change effect the fish? I know it changes the metabolism rate, so they need more food as they surround warmer water. But what else would temperature effect on the fish? Breathing is tougher also, because of less disolved oxygen in the water. Also, the growth rate is going to be faster at higher temps and slower at lower temps. What else?

Hey, why not make a new article about fish biochemistry!! :D No eperts wrote about that yet. Is biochemistry your specialty?

No, I'm more of a physical chemist. I do not really know much about the effects of temperature on fish, beyond those relating to metabolism and O2.

Maybe you can find Spotte's book at a library. :)
