any way to treat star

i have had this star for 2 weeks he is starting not to look so good any way to treat him? the end of his arms are looking like they are torn. and small black spot on them. is there anything i can do?

I don't know that I have ever read of a way to treat a star medically.

I have often wondered, however, if it would be worthwhile to use something like Bio-bandage on a star that appears to be on the brink of death as it is. I have no idea if it would help the star or hasten its death; it is just something that I have contemplated.
 
In my experience, most stars are very resilient when concerning the legs. If the center of the star becomes affected then it might be time to isolate or euthinize. Of course, you may also consider the impact of his decaying parts on your tank. I would forgo any attempts at treatment in your display. This is best done in isolation in a small tank. Probably a futile endevour...sorry!
