When I purchased my tank I had a Tiger pistol shrimp and a Yellow watchman goby. The tiger molted and I hadn't seen the yellow in about three weeks. The tiger finally emerged and still I see no sign of the goby. I bought at my lfs a Orange Prawn Goby (45.99-ouch), but I was told they pair well with Pistol shrimps. I got him home acclimated him and he was doing well!!! The pistol shrimp and he even met up and were dozing all around the tank happy as can be!! Lights go out-next day in the morning no sign of the goby or the shrimp.....afternoon I spy the shrimp darting in and out from his burrow like he has no cover........Question? Is my goby still alive since maybe he's in the burrow scared of his new environment, or did somebody get him (did my shrimp turn into Jeffrey Dahlmer?) Any words of encouragement that he may still be in my tank will make me feel better......cause my fiancee informed me that if my pistol shrimp ate this goby I shouldn't buy another goby just for him to eat..........oh the humanity. I don't have any other issues in my tank all my other fish(a clownfish and a wrasse) are doing fine. None of my inverts are dying.........what could be going on?
