I am currently running a 95 gallon tank. I have the Oceanic Model 1 sump. On the left side of it where the water returns to the sump I have a internal pump running 900 gallons per hour back into the tank.

ON the right side of tank I have a protein skimmer with a 900 gallon per hour pump (internal) running through the skimmer. THe vibration is pretty loud. Does any1 have any suggestions on what to put around the pump to make it quieter. Thanks

Try some type of rubber mat/pad under the pump.

be careful what you use since it is internal. make sure it's something that won't leach anything into the water.

You can get the really course filter pads from the LFS and place one underneath the pump. It will provide a kind of pillow to get it up off the glass so the sound should go down quite a bit. You also won't have to worry about leaching or anything else. The kind of pad I am talking about can be found in the Marineland Tidepool replacement filter package.
