anybody doing automated daily wc's?

Automation is so nice is it not?!?!

Quoting myself on this. Just because it is automated does not mean you neglect it. I'd say I spend less time on tank since automating things but actually keep ahead on maintenance more now since I don't have to spend so much time on simple task like water changes, top off, dosing, etc...Next thing I want is self cleaning head for my SRO 3000!!!

Actually, it is pretty nice. I like hearing the bm-t1o1 turning on and off every 3 hours. It's nice to know that my wc's are being done for me!! It's just one less chore I have to worry about and that much more time I get to spend sitting in front of the tank.

It will also be nice for times when I go out of town.

How much water is changing each day? I have the BM T01 for dosing but I thought it could only do up to 1999 mL a day?

I guess checking the calibration of the two pumps every so often would be wise also. You have the two pumps running at the same time correct?

Oh yeah, I will definitely keeping a close eye on things just to be safe. The pumps aren't running at the same time. The pump that takes water from the tank runs for ~3.5 minutes then shuts off. Then about 2 minutes later the pump that brings the new sw into the tank turns on for about the same amount of time. I have my ATO set to turn off throughout the whole process so that it doesn't dilute the water in the tank over time. Turning off the return pump and skimmer wasn't necessary so they stay on 24/7.

I've had the system up and running for a couple of days now and my salinity has stayed rock solid.

I guess the reef keeper turns off the ATO. Thats pretty good. Technology is great! When it works as designed anyway:furious:
