Anybody ever have problems with pep shrimps and welso?

So i found out my pep shrimp are the cause of losing 2 softball size colonies of frogspawn and hammer. I thought they were the problem, but could never catch them in the act. I did last night though. Now i'm wondering if they were also the cause of my welso not opening up? It didn't die, and it didn't have any holes in it at all, but it wouldn't puff up and it was really hard. It still had very good coloring. I gave it to a friend to see if it would recover in his tank and then very next day it looked better than ever before. So now that i know my pep shrimp are attacking LPS, do you think its a stretch to say that they would harm my welso? I feed very sparingly, like a small nickle sized piece of food every 2 or 3 days. So im pretty sure im starving the shrimp. Fish are all fat and healthy though.

Peppermint shrimp are known lps eaters. I used to have one a while back that I saw chomping down my frogspawn.

Yes they def would pic at him I feel sorry for everyone who puts them in there tank to fight aiptsia once the glasss nems are gone if they eat them at all the peps just snap one day fine next eatiing all you're expensiive corals .then try to catchem if u can.I feel for you bro cause the days b4 internet knowledge you just did what u could find in books or gUy at lfs who sweared to me in the 90's that the peps weren't eatIng my zoas and shrooms.I had to take my hole system down and the peps didn't even eat the damn aiptasia
