Just a crazy looking shrimp that I thought meritted a discussion...they look very wicked!!

I want one! i try to collect shrimp almost int he way you are with your clownfishes Craig but i just ordered something else so no shrimp for me

Pretty neat looking, though. I wonder what environment it lives in to make it really look like that?

Supposedly mimics a pipefish in the wild, so probably rocky areas...

Hmmm maybe its coloration and shape come from the weird stuff pipefish hang out on. he'd go well with the one in my tank. He's actually doing really good for a peaceful but mixed tank so far.. I am surprised. I must be doin something right.

I'd love to keep a pair of harlequins but the whole starfish leg thing really is just too much work for this lazy girl =\

Where did you find this listing Craig? I don't see it in shrimp. Pretty cool, I saw another neat one..I think it was from Japan or somewhere. It was on Atlantis' site. But when I tried to order it, they said they did'nt have it anymore.

Looks almost like a pistol shrimp...really cool colors. I also like that banana mantis they have. Awesome coloration!!

John is a good guy too. I haved'nt looked at his site in awhile. Funny though..look at the listing under starfish for a cool looking thorny star. Twice he tells you it's reef safe, then he says it "nibbled on a particular sps"..LOL.:lol:

Hehe thanks I haven't had a lot of time to sit down and explore all of the sponsors here but those galapagos guys look like bait shrimp to me I have been desensatized haha

Though they carry the anemone shrimp just out of stock - I just wonder if it will host in a not-anemone area like a mushroom or something.

Oh and the bumble bee shrimp, so cute! so tempting.. so.. bee-like ;p


Edit: anyone notice the irony that they are "floridapets" but their office is in the carolinas?

I thought they were over on the coast? Chrisstie, anemone shrimp will let a coral host them. Bumble Bees are REALLY tiny, and eat the pad feet off starfish!:eek2:
