anybody got a name for these?

was at a local fish store and found these from a frag tank no real lighting and they didn't look like this when i bought them...they just looked like they might be special! any ideas

Very nice. They look like "Crazy Daisy" from newalameda.com website. Steve sells those for $35 per polyp

I believe they are pink elephants, from fraggle reef, I got some here in richmond also

Nah, they're very common zoas.

i would agree with the pink elephants but they have what looks like a yellowish mouth,mine have a blue mouth.

they sure look like pink elephants to me, although a better picture of the mouth would tell for sure, very nice find!

Actually i think they are the same, just under different lighting with a different photographer/camera. Mine can look just like crazy daises, but some are pink elephants, as I got them from the same store as the original poster and they are the same.

that pic of crazy daises has so much blue in in, look at the shadow, up and to the left of the polyps.

i dont think the pink elephants and "crazy dasies" (according to the californians ) are the same thing. but with that said, the pink elephants seem to vary in color depending on the lighting more than any other zoa i've seen up to this point.

my pink elephants have a green slit mouth, along with white bands along the outside of the polyp when viewing them closed up. which means they are of the species zoanthid gigantus.

oh yeah, if you got those in richmond, they are definitely pink elephants as a couple of us got them from the same store.

geez, is it *that* important? i mean, dont lose any sleep over it, its just a name...its not like its gonna make or break your business, it is what it is, and if someone wants it they'll pay it (unless they are the latest propagators to jump on the zoa bandwagon and dont care what zoas look like as long as they have all the of the top named zoas in their inventory to sell)
