I had one aiptasia in my 75G reef. I watched it and it barely grew after 5 months.... months. It shedded it first little clone at that wasn't growing fast either. It got put on the I need to take care of this at some point list. Now the new tank and it is doing a ton better than the old tank. The algae is receding and my coral are growing faster but there is always a catch. The aiptasia is growing better too. In 2 weeks I now have 4 of the little buggers. I need to kalk them does anyone have access to hypodermic needles as I would like to get them befor they get out of hand. I don't know were to get the needle from.

Any vet would have them, feed stores would have them as well for cattle use. I have syringes, but no needles, except the ones that are in the Weld-On applicators. Your welcome to any of that if it would help you, or just call a vet in the morning.

I have also picked them up from Hyvee or another Pharmacy. We use them for filling fiber optic connectors with glue as well.

just shoot them without the needle....with a thicker paste

I agree. I just use the syringe with no needle. That way you can run really thick paste on the aptasia.

I bought mine at target pharmacy for 50 cents. Like the others said take off the needle. My kalk paste was too thick and would clog it.

as others have stated .. use thick paste w/o the needle

that is how I took care of the ONE i had ( so I may have gotten lucky)

mixed just enough water to call it a paste rather than a glob :-)

oh and clean up right a way ... I still cant get the kalk residue out of that glass
