Anybody Got PPEs?

I have had my PPEs for about 4 days and the polyps have yet to open up. What lighting do these guys prefer?

I've got Purple Deaths and Nuclear Greens along with the PPE shipment and these opened up on the first day.

Mine opened up the first day ( Purple Death and Nuclear greens )

the PPE's took a couple of days, but are now open.

PPE are very sensitive to water conditions. I went through about 4 different frags before one survive longer then 2 months. If they don't open after a week or so, you might as well kiss them goodbye. Good Luck either way.

I sure hope I don't go through all that frags before I can successfully keep one. At $200 per frag of 4 polyps, I don't think I could afford all that loss.

I saw some stores carry "purple" frags with very bright green mouth, but the skirt is also "purple" - that is not PPE, right?

No that is not PPE. PPE has neon green mouth with green skirt.

Well if I get a usual "tip" so....

I saw a bunch at Amazon Pets and Brian's Fishworld both in san jose.
At Brian's place (which is in a walking distance from my place) it was in a "show" tank - not sure if they sell from it.
