Anybody have an inexpensive skimmer for sale?

Hi Everybody... Since it doesn't seem that my last wanted post was deleted for inappropriate post, I am potentially seeking a cheap skimmer, a HOB, maybe a Remora C or a SuperSkimmer65. I currently have a Typhoon HOB, and while it is skimming fine, it is putting a TON of microbubbles out, and I have made a BUNCH of adjustments. I have an email into the company (they are made in Kentucky, so I'd prefer to get it working, rather than some cheap chinese stuff), and will hopefully get it resolved, but if not, I should probably start lining something else up.

Thanks!
Matt

I believe mtsuguy may have a CSS 65 for sale soon. I'll give him a call and tell him to get in contact with you.

I had a typhoon and could never get rid of the micro bubbles. I even talked to the guy that designed skimmers for them and we could never figure out what was wrong with it.

Well, glad to know it's not just me. I've read some personal reviews online where people swear that they are great, but more where people are complaining that they never get rid of bubbles...... oh well... I might just take this one apart and mod it.

Just an FYI, I emailed D&D, and gave them a list of things I had done, including a step by step from their PDF on getting rid of microbubbles... the email was nice enough, and they did answer my questions, but then suggested that I follow the instructions in the very PDF that I referenced, and let them know if that doesn't work. I honestly think that the main thing "wrong" with this skimmer is the water height adjustment technique, and the fact that the body is not long enough. Too bad, it's a nice build.

Shane and I meet up today, and I slapped the Super Skimmer 65 on the tank this evening.... no bubbles! I did get some after feeding time, but they were gone less than 2 hours later when I got home. It's already gotten more junk out in a few hours than the D&D was.... and I honestly felt that the D&D was skimming decently, just hated the bubbles.

Thanks!

Glad to hear the CSS65 is working well for you! I like mine, but I'm planning on getting an Octopus eventually... probably when I get another fish... maybe this Spring or Summer...
