Anybody heard of this new place?

Has anyone heard or have any dealings with this new LFS in Bellville IL called Kingdom Aquatics? Saw an ad on Craigslist for them and just curious. Thanks for your time!

Interesting I think I will head over there at lunch and check it out. I can't find their hours. The web site is under construction and the phone number is not set up apparently but they appear to be open based on the facebook page.

D@*! it. I was in Belleville yesterday...probably wasn't more than a mile from their location.

So I went by. Their name is up on the marquee sign but they have not store front sign yet. They are in a small mall plaza but I was not sure which one. I found one unit that had a bunch of empty aquariums laying around on the floor which I think was more of a storage area. The only other location I found the windows were completely covered so I believe that was the one but no one was home. They are not open as of yet. Their face book page says to message them and they will be more than happy to show you around. I should have done that this morning and seen if they would be there. To recap as of today nothing open to public and I could not peek in.

Thanks for the reply and the time you took to go over there. Like I said just stumbled across the Craigslist ad and love visiting new stores around the area. I'll try and schedule an appointment with them and let everyone know my findings. Thanks again!

Thanks for letting us know.

lol I did the same thing last night, drove through there looking for them. It was dark so it was easy to find them, I could see all the lights shining through the curtains! Clearly not open to the public yet, but looking at their facebook page they appear to be close. I live in Belleville so they're really close to me, but I like Saltwater Paradise so I'm sure I'll continue shopping there.

It's strange how many saltwater LFS there are in the St. Louis area. I travel a lot and usually look in the cities I'm in to see if there is a saltwater store nearby . . . there rarely is.

I don't understand the economics of owning an LFS but maybe this area has a larger demand for saltwater than other areas.

In any case, I'll stop by when they open and hope they (and all the other LFS) are wildly successful.

Another reason why SLASH and the St. Louis saltwater scene are awesome.

As far as I can see in the Midwest club forums Chicago and St Louis are where it's at and St Louis is getting close to the same size seen. Nice to see more stores in the area I generally only go to one but occasionally make it to others.

I agree, I traveled for a year straight to most of the major cities and rarely found stores to visit. I don't see how these guys survive either.

Not really. When the wife says you can't have any more tanks. You open a saltwater LFS. I'm just sayin. So Mike what is your store going to be called? LOL

The economics of owning a local fish store are probably not great but we love being able to swing by and take a look or pick something up in a pinch when we need it. That is why it is important to support the lfs around here. Yes we can sometimes save a couple bucks buying online but the more we support these guys the better off we are also. So those couple extra bucks you spend at the lfs is way more valuable than you think.

It is not the money that bothers me about LFS. It is that they offer no guarantee. I would love to find one that does business like Live Aquaria.
