Anybody here tried reef chili?

DowFlake is Calcium chloride and MagFlake is Magnesium Chloride.
Epsom salts are Magnesium sulfate and should not be used alone to raise magnesium because the amount of sulfate will increase in your tank to much...Randy's formula actually uses epsom salts and Magflake
to make a perfect balance. Sulfates at higher levels are not good but they are fine and NSW levels.

Now I just need to find the Magflake...

Hey Covey...I have a K2r sitting in my fish room but I don't need it.
My systems calcium demands are being met by the Kalk reactor alone.

I am constantly battling low pH and see no reason to drive the pH down further with the calcium reator if I am holding 420ppm calium and Alk of 9dkh with just Kalk reactor running, as my system demands grow I will bring the calcium reator online.

i found the best way was to use a food processor with the cheese grater attachment and add everything frozen. that way it makes small chunks rather than liquify everything into mush : )
