Is anybody on here keeping a Spiny Blue Lobster? If yes how big is it? Do you keep yours in your reef? If yes does he bother anything? Here's mine. Click on the PICS to play.

Mmmmmm....thems good eaten. I had one in a FOWLR with some big nasty fish. He/she fit right in. Very cool lobsters. Too bad they would knock over coral and eating everything they can get their claws on.

I am probably selling mine. I had a 6" horse Conch that my baseball size hermits ate. I had my Lobster in with my Tess Eel. It survived moltings. But My Fuscus Trigger will kill the Lobster outright. I am not sure if my Queen Trigger will kill him. He is in her tank now, and the tank is divided. I trust him more with the Queen, but she attacks baseball sized Hermits. Another reefer on here has his Queen Trigger with a peppermint shrimp, so I might try the Lobster with her if I keep it. the antennas were longer, but they are the first thing the Fuscus Trigger starts to dismantle. The cool thing is that they grow back why the Lobster molts. Like in one molt!
Here are some better more recent PICS

You talking about the Lobster? It is about 6" as for it's body. It's antennas are close to a foot. One has been clipped down before I removed it from the Fuscus Trigger tank. One thing that I thought was cool is that they antennas grow back in one molting. The Fuscus did this once before. He clipped down both antennas, and a section of the tail. In one molt everything grew back.
I may try to keep it with my Queen Trigger, but I am not going to hold my breath for success. There is another guy on here keeping a Queen, a Clown, and a Pinktail Trigger with a Shrimp! So who knows. Right now this Lobster is in a divided 120 gallon. Somebody is supposed to buy it, but it may fall through.
In any event you know I live in Michigan right. I'd have to ship it. I know how to ship. I used to breed Cichlids, and ship them. But I might give this Lobster a try here. It is fine now. I would like to remove the tank divider one day though. And I am not sure if the Queen will leave it alone.

very nice, i used to have one, but it died in a failed molt...

if you don't want to sell her i recommend doing something about those hermits, a hermit ate my other blue spiny lobster and 2 horseshoe crabs.

BTW, if you feed it enough, i found that mine molted about twice in one month!

Thanks for the tip about the molting. This is the divided tank. I guess I'll kick out the crab if I remove the divider. He is divided from the Lobster. Yes that is a Queen Trigger in the video. It might not like the Lobster. It tries to kill the crabs. But another RC member has a Queen of similar size in with a Peppermint Shrimp. So I'd just have to see. Here's the video.

urchin/Lobster

urchin/Lobster

I still have this Lobster, and I am wanting to know if you guys think I might be able to put an Urchin in the same tank with him. Or do you think he will eat the Urchin?

The one I had, ate a few of the hermits I had, A urchin wouldn't be that difficult to get at if he wanted to. As long as my lobster was well fed, he didn't bother anything much. Oh, and I'm still interested if you decide to part with your lobster.

LOL. I will keep you in mind. I love the antennas! My Fuscus Trigger clipped them down twice, (in the set of better PICS the antennas are shorter than normal, but he molted a few days ago, and they are back, nice, and long) but they grow back after the next molt. Pretty cool IMO.
